We have spent the weekend here and were initially disappointed, because the room is smaller than we'd expected and needs refreshing. There are no sockets near the bed and only one bedside cabinet for a double room. However, we have enjoyed our stay; 1) staff are friendly and helpful 2) the hotel is clean and tidy, with welcoming communal areas. 3) Breakfast is delicious and several choices available, including complementary hot beverages. 4) Plenty of parking 5) despite needing updating, rooms have a tea tray, hairdryer and iron.

Good sized rooms, clean, comfy bed. However, I informed them about a broken window that wouldn't close amd no one came to fix it so it was open all night. Also, the whole self check in in screen wasn't fun. Breakfast was okay and the price was good. Very noisy guy next door shouting at 1am was annoying but not the hotels fault. Didn't bother ringing down since they handed responded the first time I went down about the window.

Booked an overnight stay as we were visiting relations , couldn’t fault it ! Yes could be updated a bit with a coat of paint etc , but for the price we paid I couldn’t fault it , nice room very pleasant staff , comfy bed and warm room , nice breakfast , easy parking , would definitely book again if I was in the area

Great location for hotel. Close to shops and historic pubs. Breakfast is served early and consists of cereals and cooked breakfast. Staff always available and happy to help.

I’ve stayed here for 2 nights with my dad to visit family and I loved the hotel and the nostalgic vibes. Breakfast was amazing and the rooms are very comfortable! Super price-performance ratio! The building itself also has a wonderful character and the staff were very lovely and helpful!

We had requested a flower arch for the ceremony, and the team arranged it beautifully, which made the setting even more romantic and memorable. The catering team provided delicious food that our guests are still raving about, and the service throughout the evening was attentive without ever being intrusive. Our bedroom was also spacious and comfortable, with a charming four-poster bed and a cozy couch. While the furnishings showed a touch of age, everything was perfectly nice and added to the character of our stay. What stood out most was the genuine care and professionalism of the entire team. They listened to our vision, accommodated every request with patience, and made us feel completely at ease. Thanks to their hard work, we were able to relax and enjoy celebrating with our loved ones. Our guests complimented not only the setting but also the smooth flow of the evening, which is all thanks to the hotel’s excellent planning and staff. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue for such a meaningful occasion. This hotel will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone planning an event or simply looking for an exceptional stay.

Really nice hotel, room was big with a comfortable bed. Although main road fairly close I couldn't hear the traffic. Breakfast was okay too.

Booked this last minute as we were going to stay in our campervan but decided it was going to be too cold. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and yes I will definitely agree the rooms are a bit tired and need updating but the sheets were clean, the bed was comfy. The fact that you got a free buffet breakfast, although not a huge selection, it was very much enjoyed. And again there's not much nearby as in attractions, just don't book it if you need all that. There's a local supermarket and a few pubs. We stayed here as we were going to Leeds Castle. So overall, it's cheap and cheerful and if you want something top class, stay somewhere else, I'd definitely stay again though.
